Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of mysite-name's professional handyman services across England. Please read them carefully before booking any services to ensure a clear understanding of our repair approach, client responsibilities, and service limitations.

1. Service Agreement

By booking our handyman services-whether through repair requests, maintenance work, or installation tasks-you agree to these terms. Our services operate in compliance with relevant UK building regulations and safety standards for general handyman work.

We provide professional handyman services through our skilled tradespeople across England.

2. Service Scope and Work Standards

Our services include general repairs, maintenance tasks, and basic installations. We focus on providing quality workmanship using appropriate techniques and materials for each specific task.

While we perform work to professional standards, some repairs may be affected by existing property conditions, material availability, or unforeseen complications discovered during work.

3. Client Responsibilities

To ensure successful service outcomes, clients agree to:

  • Provide clear access to work areas and necessary utilities
  • Disclose any known property issues or previous repairs
  • Secure pets and clear work areas before our arrival
  • Make someone available to provide access and instructions
  • Inform us of any safety concerns or special requirements

Proper preparation helps us provide efficient and effective repair services.

4. Work Limitations and Specialist Referrals

We specialise in general handyman services and may recommend certified specialists for complex electrical, gas, or structural work requiring specific qualifications. We will advise you when a task requires specialist attention.

Some repairs may require building regulations approval or other permissions, which are the client's responsibility to obtain.

5. Quotations and Service Confirmation

Quotations are provided based on initial assessment and are valid for 30 days. Service confirmation requires written or verbal approval. Work is scheduled upon confirmation with timing communicated in advance.

Additional work requirements identified during service may affect pricing and completion time, which will be communicated and approved before proceeding.

6. Materials and Parts

We can supply standard materials for common repairs or work with client-supplied materials. When we supply materials, we use quality products from reputable suppliers. Client-supplied materials may affect workmanship guarantees.

We reserve the right to decline using materials that appear unsuitable or may compromise work quality or safety.

7. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of work unless credit terms have been agreed in writing. For jobs exceeding £300, we may require a deposit before ordering specialist materials. Payment methods will be confirmed before work commences.

Late payments may affect future service scheduling. We reserve the right to require payment for completed services before scheduling additional appointments.

8. Workmanship and Follow-up

We take pride in our workmanship and welcome feedback about your experience. If you're not satisfied with any aspect of the service, please discuss this with us within 7 days of service completion.

We offer complimentary adjustments within 14 days for any aspects of the work that may not meet agreed standards, subject to reasonable access.

9. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Appointments may be rescheduled without charge with 24 hours notice. Late cancellations may incur a £25 charge. Emergency call-outs cancelled after dispatch will be charged at the standard call-out rate.

We understand that plans change and will make reasonable efforts to accommodate rescheduling requests when possible.

10. Access and Working Conditions

We require safe working conditions with adequate lighting, ventilation, and space to perform work effectively. Unsafe conditions may require work postponement until issues are resolved.

We maintain appropriate insurance coverage but cannot work in conditions that pose unreasonable risks to our team or your property.

11. Damage and Insurance

We take every care to protect your property during work. Any accidental damage caused by our work will be addressed appropriately. Pre-existing damage or issues unrelated to our work are not covered.

We maintain public liability insurance and recommend clients maintain their own building and contents insurance.

12. Waste Removal

We remove small amounts of waste generated during repairs. Larger disposal requirements may incur additional charges or require separate waste management arrangements.

Hazardous materials require specialist disposal at the client's expense, arranged separately from our standard services.

13. Liability Limitations

Our liability for services is limited to the cost of the work performed. We cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing conditions, unrelated issues that develop after our work, or problems arising from normal wear and tear.

We maintain appropriate insurance and follow industry best practices in our handyman work.

14. Terms Modification

We reserve the right to update these terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, UK regulations, or industry practices. The current terms are always available on our website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updates.
